Charlotte is inquisitive,
sweet, and curious. She was turned by a Rake called Ryan as a way to manipulate
their teacher, Helen O' Connell, into becoming a vampire. After Helen became a
vampire, she rejected him and took the children into the dark heart of London
where she set up the Sir Périgord Orphanage.
Charlotte has a secret shadow
friend, a child Destitute who helps her. A silent companion. Only Charlotte can
mentally communicate with Mister Shadows through physical contact.
