There is something to be said for passing back fun email banter between writer friends. I just had a blast doing that. A writer friend of mine had her characters meet my characters. It was so fun!
I also was able to come up with ideas on where certain characters are "now". This will help me to project them there when the time comes.
I sure love letting the characters on my novels come out and play.

I really enjoy AW. I've been slowly returning to it. I'm in the writing zone, so my web use has been slowing up.
Good for you. I can get sucked into surfing AW and blog jumping for hours.
I have to get back to editing and working on my new WIP but yanno...it's hard!

I'm not published yet (still waiting for the agent to call/email) so my time goes to the day job a lot. If I could just be a writer, I would schedule four hours a day to just writing.
Easy to say, huh? The web can be so alluring.

I even got some better ideas about one of my crow characters while writing that!
