COINÍN: Old Gaelic byname composed of the word cano "wolf" and a diminutive suffix, hence "little wolf."

Other version is CUÁN

CUÁN Means "little wolf" or "little hound" from the Irish element cú "wolf, hound" combined with a diminutive suffix.

Coinín is the youngest child of pack leader Alastar Faolchú. He is an alpha wolf so that means he’s immortal. The little brother to Gelsey, he is shy, sweet and nice like their mother, Maureen.

They are master builders. They built the Menehune Ditch in one night. 24 feet tall with hand carved stone. They traveled seven miles with stones, passed hand to hand, carried to build the wall. No one could watch them work or they’d leave. The Hawaiian King at the time forced them to.

Molawa is a Menehune who when he lays down, can send his physic self out to do good deeds.

Inspired by the vampire in The Dance of the Vampires called “Confessions” song.

Sebastian has black hair. He’s a bitter scrapper who has hot temper. He doesn’t like humans. They lost their parents in the great London fire when they were young and they have relied on each other. Sebastian has a lot of pent-up hate because their parents “left”. Dracula killed them during one of his battles with Hawke but he didn’t know know that.

 One night Dracula allowed Usha to hunt while they lived in London. It was during the early 1700s. He was training her on turning others and she wanted two dock workers. She turned them and Dracula decided to use them. They joined the Rakes but Sebastian didn’t get along with Nigel Hawthorne. They drifted away from the Rakes as Sebastian and Alexander took on various missions for Dracula.

 They stayed at his London house for a time with Usha and Penelope Chesterfield. Sebastian was given Nigel’s job as the head of the Rakes. He did so well he became head of London’s covens. Dracula promised him a spot in the Tyrant Lords of the Seven Houses.

 Weapons of choice: silver Fencing saber with leather wrapped around the handle.

Inspired by the vampire in Sting’s “Moon over Bourbon street” song.

Alexander has blonde hair. He is quiet and peaceful. He and his brother lost their parents in the great London fire when they were young and they relied on each other.

 One night Dracula allowed Usha to hunt while they lived in London. It was during the early 1700s. He was training her on turning others and she wanted two dock workers. She turned them and Dracula decided to use them. They joined the Rakes but Alexander hated all the killing. They drifted away from the Rakes as Sebastian and Alexander took on various missions for Dracula.

 They stayed at his London house for a time with Usha and Penelope Chesterfield. Alexander always had doubts about killing and hurting mortals. Sebastian would always try to convince him to be more ruthless, but Alexander could never get the hang of it.

OLD MAN WINTER/ CAVAN

 

CAVAN: Irish name derived from a place named from cabhán, meaning "hollow."

Dressed in furs with a purple cloak, the bald man had a full white beard with a single black streak down the middle.

 Cavan is an old Sorcerer who is Dagda's older brother. Lost wife and daughter to a misguided human who used an artifact on them by accident. Pled for help from younger brother who could not help him. Decided to use dark magic to siphon power and life energy from ice elemental.  Used stolen ice abilities to destroy the demon and get vengeance.

 Exiled himself to the Himalayas where he has created an ice fortress complete with a trophy chamber. He keeps various artifacts out of the hands of others so they won’t be used to hurt others like his family was hurt. He was asked to store one of the Peyupei artifacts in his trophy chamber. He has become bitter, hallow inside and cold towards life blaming others for his own mistakes. He calls himself Old Man Winter.

KRAMPUS

The self-named ‘Evil Santa’, Krampus lives in the northern territories of the globe. He has thick curved horns and the legs and eyes of a goat. He uses burning chains to ensnare his victims and has incredible agility. He can control lesser beings with his limited telepathy. The Agents of Sorcery Protection often foil his nefarious schemes.

TORRANCE DAVIS

 

TORRANCE DAVIS:

The Rake known as Torrance lost his brother Terrance to the vampire hunter named Hawke. Fellow Rake Nigel Hawthorne informed Torrance that due to his rebellious nature, their master Dracula actually set his brother up, placing him in Hawke’s path. Torrance chose to ignore Nigel’s theories.

He hid in London, only attending Vanessa Kimball’s mandatory meetings and balls. The rest of his time was spent wallowing in hate, planning revenge for his brother’s death. His loneliness and hate drove him a bit crazy. He met a lost teen named William and turned him into a vampire so he’d have a new brother.

When Annabelle Foresight fled from Hawke, she accidently led him to Torrance’s den where the hunter killed William. Torrance swore vengeance on Annabelle for William’s death. During a major battle between Hawke and most of the London vampire covens, Torrance lost his right arm.

ALAMEA

Alamea: Hawaiian name meaning "precious." Alamaea is female. Some of the male Menehune called her “precious” because they didn’t think she could be as tough as a male. She proves them wrong by mastering magic archery. Joins Annabelle’s group and see’s the world. Her magic arrows pass through beings, striking their heart to cause them to feel love and compassion. They can solidify and work as regular arrows to hurt or kill as well as cause magical feedback to other magical beings. She is best friends with the Leprechaun known as Abbey. They travel the world looking for adventures together.

DORAN:

DORAN: Irish surname transferred to forename use, from an Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Deoradháin, "descendant of Deoradhán," hence "exile, wanderer."

Doran is a rebel. He was exiled from the Leprechaun kingdom. He always has a goal to usurp the crown from King Grady.

ABBEY

 

ABBEY: Pet form of Irish Abigail, meaning "little smith." Compare with another form of Abbey.

Abby is a genius at creating things. She uses her magic to build things, usually out of gold. She is best friends with the Menehune known as Alamea. They travel the world looking for adventures together.

Leader of the Rakes, loyal to Dracula. Nigel became the leader of the entire London Coven after Vanessa betrayed Dracula and helped Annabelle and her friends escape. An expert at fencing, he prefers to take his sabre with him on long missions. In London he is satisfied with relying on his regular vampiric abilities. He has not mastered flight or transformation. He is very stuck up and filled with self-pride.

BLANDIA BLACKBURN

 

BLANDIA BLACKBURN

Name Origin
Blackburn is Old English, meaning "black stream."

Physical characteristics:

Blandia appears in her mid forties and likes to wear elegant clothes. She loves jewelry and enjoys wearing lots of it. She applies her make up a bit thick. To Blandia, she appears beautiful but to her fellow magic user, Guarin, she seems to be trying too hard. She has to wear the dark green hood and cloak with a green and blue robe. These clothes represent her membership in the Agents of Sorcery Protection. She doesn't want to wear them because she feels the style clashes and doesn't go with her shoes or make up.

Personality:
Blandia is selfish at times, obsessed with her looks and attracting men. She is not beyond using her magic to "win" a guy over. She looked up to the leader of the Agents of Sorcery Protection, Dagda. She has no problem with his successor, Guarin except she thinks he takes things to seriously. Blandia seems a bit flighty and not very levelheaded to others.

History:

Blandia practiced white magic under the teachings of the immortal warlock Dagda. While not as quick a study as Guarin, Blandia did learn to take care of herself. Along with Dagda and Guarin, Blandia created the magical barrier that protected Eliza Pratchet, Annabelle and Roland Foresight, the small English colonial settlement of Jorgantown and the Mohegan Indian village.

Over the years Blandia helped her fellow members of the Agents of Sorcery Protection, North American division. She was placed in Salem, Massachusetts to spy on the town during their infamous which hunts. Dagda knew it was dangerous and offered her the chance to not accept but she agreed reluctantly. Others close to her felt she really did it because she secretly cares for others. Dagda felt that outside forces in the form of the vampire lord Dracula and his evil witch servant, Penelope, had a part in the paranoia. He was right but too late to help her. After Dagda's assassination by Dracula's forces, Penelope framed Blandia and soon Blandia found herself in the Salem jail. Her best friend, the vampire Eliza, rescued Blandia from the hangman's noose with the help of vampire children Annabelle and Roland Foresight. Blandia fought in the first Battle of Jorgantown after the barrier fell.

Blandia has a history of moving into a community, practicing her spells and potions and flirting with the local men. This has gotten her in a great deal of trouble over the years. Guarin helped Blandia take the Right of Ascendance, which if successfully completed, grants a warlock or witch immortality. It wasn't easy. After the Right of Ascendance, the witch or warlock is unconscious in a coma state for fifty years.

 Blandia is a great ally and dear friend to Annabelle, Roland and the Mullo Tribe. Her cat familiar, Pen-en-aau, is sworn to protect her at all costs.

O’Leary was a bully, a cheat and a scoundrel. As a Bloody Buccaneer, he served Captain Worthing with glee, ready to kill anyone the captain chose. Promoted to Master Gunner.

PEN-EN-AAU

Pen-en-aau, the name of an Egyptian gentleman.  Pen for short. Blandia’s cat familiar. He can turn into a feral humanoid with a tough guy Bronx type attitude. Orange with a black streak above the eyes like a unibrow. Was a palace guard when Kamenwati turned him into a cat. Immortal now.

Dearg Due is an Irish vampire who feeds on mortal men. She’s a classic legend that, after a horrible life of abuse, was turned into a vampire, thought dead, and returned for vengeance. After she got her revenge she moved about the Irish countryside until her boredom caused her to cross paths with Dracula. She began to try for the position as one of his brides. Hates Penelope.

Age 7 when she became a vampire

Charlotte is inquisitive, sweet, and curious. She was turned by a Rake called Ryan as a way to manipulate their teacher, Helen O' Connell, into becoming a vampire. After Helen became a vampire, she rejected him and took the children into the dark heart of London where she set up the Sir Périgord Orphanage.

Charlotte has a secret shadow friend, a child Destitute who helps her. A silent companion. Only Charlotte can mentally communicate with Mister Shadows through physical contact.

TALIN HAWKE

Talin was a child among the Kalinago tribe on Isla De Los Vampiros. While his parents were taken away and killed by the Bloody Buccaneers, Talin was rescued by Roland and Racheal. Young Talin swore vengeance on all vampires for the deaths of his family. He grew up training to fight and learned how to keep himself alive.

Talin searched out and found Hawke. He was brought under Hawke’s wing and became his right-hand man. After a difficult period of training, Hawke shared his private arsenal, safe house locations, journals and maps of various creatures’ lairs with Talin. He even gave Talin his last name. Talin took the last name “Hawke” whom he considered his personal hero.

SELINA AND SAMUEL HOWETH

Age 10 when they became vampires

Twin children who were turned by a Rake called Ryan as a way to manipulate their teacher, Helen O' Connell, into becoming a vampire. After Helen became a vampire, she rejected him and took the children into the dark heart of London where she set up the Sir Périgord Orphanage.

Selina and Samuel are inquisitive, clever, impulsive, constantly hyper and one in purpose if that purpose is to cause fun chaos.

After the unfortunate loss of Helen, the children were raised by Annabelle, Thomas and the Mullo Tribe.

ISI: 

Name origin: Native American Choctaw unisex name meaning "deer."

Physical characteristics:

Isi has black hair and dark brown eyes. She is thin and short, allowing her to fit in most tight spots. She is very beautiful and extremely exotic.

Personality:

Closed off. She is very guarded, mysterious and only opens up to the vampire who turned her, Fenroth.

Abilities:

Isi has the basic vampiric abilities; strength, speed, stamina, sharp nails that are used like claws, enhanced senses and the ability to heal from most small injuries. Like all vampires, she can't handle sunlight, wooden stakes to the heart or beheading. Each of these turn her to ash. Like all evil vampires, religious artifacts harm her as well. She has not learned how to transform or fly. She can mimic voices perfectly. She is an excellent fighter, trained by Fenroth to hunt, fight and kill any opponent. She prefers to ambush them, striking before they know what's hit them.

Known History:

Not a lot has been revealed about Isi. Fenroth found her in North America the late 1600s. A Choctaw , Fenroth found her at age sixteen, influenced her and turned her. She is constantly at his side, eager to kill for him.

CHESTER

Chester the ghoul served the Lady Vanessa Kimbal, head of the London vampire covens. Chester would fetch people for Vanessa to drink. Smelly, creepy and loyal to his lady, he’s not above using trickery to meet her desires or escape. He had welts from constant abuse.

 

After Vanessa’s death, Chester worked for a century under various masters until finally searing loyalty to Annabelle, despite her insistence that he’s free.

 

Ghouls: If a vampire bites a human twice in rapid succession their physical and mental being becomes corrupted. They become stronger and faster than most humans. Their reflexes and senses are sharper. In short, they gain a small fraction of the power of a vampire. They cannot mesmerize others, fly or chance shape. The sun weakens them a fraction but does not burn them. Ghouls have long life spans, but it is unknown if they can achieve the full immortality that vampires have. Most die in the service of their dark masters.

MARY STILTSON

Physical characteristics:

Mary has black hair and a thin build. Her eyes used to be green before she became a vampire. After her transformation they take on the normal red color.

Personality:

Mary is very quiet and thoughtful. She is studious and loyal. She cares deeply for her fellow orphans. She behaves as a big sister to the others and follows her guardian, Helen O' Connell, without question.

Known History:

A resident of London England, Mary lived with her parents. They were well to do and wanted their daughter to be taught the finer things so they sent her to boarding school. Helen O' Connell was Mary's teacher. When Helen rejected her boyfriend (whom turned out to be a vampire), he kidnapped Mary and four other children and turned them all into vampires.

Helen rejected her boyfriend and took the children into the dark heart of London where she set up the Sir Périgord Orphanage. Mary was sixteen years old when she was turned to a vampire. She dedicated her undead life to helping take care of her new brothers and sisters by protecting them from the cruel monsters and fiends that exist in the dark world.

 Helen was killed by Hawke. With help, Annabelle and Thomas led the orphans to the Mullo Tribe where they lived in peace for many years.

Mary decided to live in Alexandria, the home of the Covenant of Azra’il. She eventually joined them.

A ghoul under the control of the Bloody Buccaneer pirate king, James Worthing. Sneaky, smelly, self-serving and vile, Turner served James until his death during the destruction of the Bloody Buccaneers.

ANTHONY FORESIGHT

Personality:

Friendly, kind and determined to help others if needed. He always encouraged his children in any endeavor and was willing to take any challenge on.

 Known History:

Anthony grew up in London, England. He was apprenticed as a bookbinder at age fourteen, became a journeyman at age nineteen, and a master at twenty-two. He met his wife Glorianna during the great London Fire of 1666. They struggled together to rebuild their lives. He built up a successful bookbinding business on Threadneedle Street. They had two children, Roland and Annabelle.

Anthony and Glorianna did something unheard of, they taught their children to read. It was his hope that Roland would one day take over the business, but Roland never could get interested in books or staying still inside. Annabelle, however, loved the business and learned a great deal, even reading all the books that came through her father's shop.

Everything changed when a strange woman dressed in black visited the Foresights, and convinced Anthony to sell his business, buy property in the American colonies and move his family to Jorgantown, Massachusetts.

Shortly after their arrival the Foresights met Eliza Pratchet. Anthony stood up for her against some rough men. For some unknown reason, Eliza fled into the woods and when Roland followed, Anthony gave chase. Soon the entire family were trapped in the dark wood, surrounded by wolves. They met Dominic Pratchet (Dracula), the rightful owner of the land Anthony was sold. Dominic killed Anthony and his wife Glorianna.

Annabelle and Roland would forever remember their parents love and devotion. They strive every night to live their undead lives in honor of their parents.

JAMES WORTHING

JAMES: Middle English and Old French vernacular form of Late Latin Jacomus, from Greek Iakobos, meaning "supplanter."

 He used to run with the Rakes and served their mistress, Vanessa Kimball. She had a thing for him, but he fell for Abigail Black. They left London and joined up with pirates. He took over the crew, made himself captain, then created the Bloody Buccaneers. They sailed on the feared Bloodfeast, plundering ships and drinking the crew. Dracula is is master and the real power behind the Bloody Buccaneers

 James appeared as a well decorated sailor of the British fleet. He inserted himself into social circles and towns all around the coast of North America so that he’d set up victims as well as get information on ships at sea that his crew could plunder.

Created Isla De Los Vampiros, the Bloody Buccaneers island home. He created a treaty with Chief Buyei of the Kalinago tribe, using fear and manipulation to co-exist and not be overpowered by the natives.

GLORIANNA FORESIGHT

GLORIANA:  "glorious grace." Some variants include Glorianna and Glorianne.

Loving, caring and loyal to family and husband. Survived the Great Plague in 1665 and Great Fire of London in 1666. She and her husband told stories of their life then and the story of how the two met as they helped in the rebuilding. Their children, Annabelle and Roland, remember it well.

Died in 1692 near Jorgantown, Massachusetts. Killed by Dracula.

WILDES BLUT TEIR

 

WILDES BLUT TEIR

Other names:

Wildes, slobber-puss, Wild Man, Blood Man, Wild Blood Man, Wild Blood Beast.
Wildes Blut Teir means "Wild Blood Beast" in German. When he met Roland Foresight for the first time, Fenroth mis-translated the name as "Wild Blood Man" due to his faulty German.
Physical characteristics:
Dressed in rags, smelly from his lack of hygiene, Wildes is unmistakable. He has a small iron cage around his head with a small trap door to allow his mouth to stick out and bite his victims. Most time the door is closed and only opened when his master allows it. There is an iron chain that drags from the back of the cage which allows Fenroth to restrain Wildes. He has crazy long hair that goes every which way.
Personality:
Insane. He is absolutely crazy. This vampire has more in common with a wild animal than a human. He eats, walks and behaves in every way like a savage. While on the hunt he lets out a primal scream/laugh which strikes terror in the souls of his intended victims.
Abilities:
He has the standard vampire abilities. This means he’s faster and stronger than humans, his senses are extremely acute as are his reflexes. However, he cannot fly or transform. He cannot mesmerize others either. He cannot communicate with animals.
His tracking skills are stronger than most vampires and werewolves. His senses are stronger and more acute, allowing him to sense other vampires, creatures, humans and animals for miles around. He is second to his master, Fenroth. He can jump higher than most vampires and his brute savageness allows him to constantly hone his strength and agility. He is more agile than most vampires, including his master, Fenroth.

His saliva has so much bacteria that it causes severe blood poisoning, and a strange bubbling of the skin. Any lesser creature would be instantly killed. Vampires, werewolves and most other magically based creatures are incapacitated for days. While vampires normally heal their bacteria, Wildes’ vampiric nature has allowed the bacteria to evolve.
Known History:
No one knows how old Wildes is or when he was turned into a vampire. The master tracker vampire known as Fenroth heard reports of a wild man that feasted on blood in the Black Forest of Germany. The locals called him Wildes Blut Teir for wild blood beast. Fenroth successfully captured Wildes after a vicious battle. Fenroth earned Wildes' respect when he lasted through the battle. Wildes Blut Teir would follow Fenroth anywhere because he knows it means a constant hunt followed by a tasty meal.

Physical characteristics:

Helen has brown hair and a thin build. Her eyes used to be green before she became a vampire. After her transformation they take on the normal red color.

Personality:

Helen is sweet and loving. She would give her life for her students. She's very cautious, afraid that her "orphanage" would be discovered.

Known History:

Helen moved to England from her native Ireland to find work as a governess. She fell in love with a young nobleman named Ryan. She found a great job at a boarding school and became popular among the students.

Ryan began to hang out with the wrong sort, other young noblemen who liked to stir up trouble. He always enjoyed that sort of lifestyle and Helen knew he wasn't right for her but she was too afraid to break it off. Ryan and his friends started to visit Vanessa Kimball, a member of royalty who was secretly a vampire. She turned them.

Ryan turned Helen against her will. She rejected him so he captured five of her pupils (Mary, Eric, Selina, Samuel and Charlotte) and turned them in their sleep.

Helen took in each of them and found an abandoned building in the heart of London where they could hide. She named their home the Sir Périgord Orphanage after a famous vampire hunter. It was her way of rejecting their new life. Despite her feelings, Helen continued to teach the children what little she knew.

AISLING

Aisling is an Irish feminine given name meaning "dream" or "vision". It refers to an aisling, a poetic genre that developed in Irish poetry during the 17th and 18th centuries.

 Aisling is a young, inexperienced Falabranwyn. She is uncertain of herself and is still learning how to use her prophetic gift. She was assigned to lead Annabelle and Thomas to the Sir Périgord Orphanage.

PAUL

Physical characteristics:
Paul looks to be in his sixties and out of shape. He's overweight, short and stocky. He was turned into a vampire in this physical condition, so he'll remain that way as long as his immortal life continues.

Personality:
Paul is friendly and eager to help others. Sometimes too eager. He's always ready with advice to cheer a friend up.
Known History:
James Worthing turned Paul on a lark. He found Paul drunk, passed out in an alley. He wanted to see what a waste of a man would become with the vampire curse. Paul gained the typical vampire abilities but remained out of shape. James allowed Paul to become a Bloody-Buccaneer, the deadliest pirates on the open sea.
Paul made an unsuccessful vampire pirate. He couldn't jump from ship to ship and attack with the other pirates. He couldn't really catch any fleeing mortals. He'd occasionally accompany the crew but became more of a mascot. After vampire child Roland Foresight joined the crew, Paul instantly took a liking to the boy. Along with Ruthless Rach, Roland was one of the only crew members who treated him fairly.
After time passed Paul became very close to Roland, offering him advice and eventually joining in Roland's rebellion. Paul's favorite haunt is the only pub on Isla De Los Vampiros, Feeding Time.

Paul died while fighting alongside the Damerae and the Kalinago tribe when they fought to take back the island.

FENROTH

Fenroth is a Northwestern tracker turned vampire by a mysterious Native American vampire in the early 1600s.  He has two werewolves that the dark witch Gertrude trapped in werewolf form. They look like big wolves on four legs. Fenroth named them Set and Hades.  Fenroth is loyal to Dracula and serves him well. Dracula put Fenroth in charge of his empire in North America. This means the trapper can create as many vampires as he wants, as long as they are loyal to Dracula first and foremost. He has two assistants, Isi the Choctaw squaw and the crazed Wildes Blut Teir.

Fenroth originally met Roland Foresight when Roland traveled through the woods of Massachusetts in order to rescue a friend. Fenroth befriended Roland in order to trap him, but Roland found out Fenroth’s plan and escaped. Fenroth captured Roland and Annabelle Foresight had to mount a rescue with their friend Thomas Dunston.

 Physical characteristics:

He stands six feet tall. Dressed in furs from head to toe with the exception of his pants and belt, which were leather. A large fur cloak covered his ensemble. He had a thick beard and mustache with heavy eyebrows. A large hat covered his forehead and cast a long shadow over his hairy face. His glowing red eyes stared through the shadowy night.

Personality:

Clever, smart, gruff, silent, confident and careful.

He is an expert tracker with a collection of kills. He uses every trap known to man or vampire as well as many he has devised himself.
